What does Empower AI do?
Empower AI modernizes enterprise IT and puts governed AI to work for Defense and Federal Civilian agencies. Our teams of mission professionals and AI teammates run service desks, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and applications inside the systems agencies already depend on.
What is an AI teammate?
An AI teammate is an AI agent assigned a defined role on a program, with specific work, permissions and a published autonomy level. It handles repeatable work continuously while a named person supervises it. See Agentic WorkForce.
Do AI teammates replace federal staff?
No. AI teammates add capacity to the team an agency already has. They take on defined, repeatable work so people can spend their time where their judgment matters. Every teammate reports to a named human owner.
Who is accountable for an AI teammate’s work?
A named human supervisor owns every AI teammate’s work. Each teammate runs at a published autonomy level and passes defined gates before it acts on its own, and its activity is logged for audit.
How does an AI teammate get an Authority to Operate (ATO)?
We agree the authorization path in writing with the ISSO and authorizing official before anything goes live, and keep the security evidence current between assessments. The Path-to-ATO Checklist walks through each path.
