Jim Rittinger is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Empower AI. In this role, Jim is responsible for managing the company’s legal work, which includes overseeing our government contracts, employment law, intellectual property, and legal support for the business.

Jim has nearly 30 years of legal experience in government contracting and practicing law. Prior to joining Empower AI, Jim was the Chief Legal Officer at MFGS, Inc., where he oversaw the company’s legal, contracts, security, corporate development, human resources, and compliance departments. He’s also held senior legal and general counsel roles at companies such as Micro Focus International, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Dell Services Federal Government, and Perot Systems.

Prior to his extensive corporate experience, Jim practiced law in New York with Quinn Emmanuel LLP, served as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles L. Brieant, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and clerked for the Honorable Mary Ellen Coster Williams of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in history (magna cum laude) from Boston College and his juris doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.
